A Little Red, White & Blue

One of my favorite things about our tag sales here at Elizabeth & Co. is decorating for the each season. Here it is July already and our summer sale is just a few weeks away. So on Sunday afternoon when it was just too darn hot to paint, I settled in for a Pride & Prejudice marathon (six hours of Colin Firth, need I say more) and whipped up a little red, white and blue. ... Our house has lots of doors, so our course we need a few wreaths.

I love big fluffy burlap bows!

And burlap rosettes are a fun alternative to bows!

And I thought a few patriotic paper rosettes (lollies, medallions, whatever you want to call them) would be fun too. These are so easy and you can pretty much use whatever supplies you have on hand.

Cute, right? But I'm guessing you'd much rather see them at the sale. So how about a little red, white and blue sneak peek? It's not really ready yet, but it's coming along. We girls will be painting, thrifting and fluffing till the very last minute!

So there you have it, a little red, white and blue to celebrate the holiday and your first sneak peek at our summer tag sale (all the details are on the sidebar).  Enjoy the day!

Oh, Sharon, I wish I'd seen these fan medallion things before the 4th. I would have loved to have made some of those. They are so very cool. They give an interesting "old school patriotic" vibe without being over the top. I am also all about those burlap bows and rosettes. Everyone of your wreaths is stellar. I wish we could have 4th of July all over again so I could have a do-over and use some of your ideas! I'll have to settle for pinning and saving for next year. I'll be happy to have them then.

I love the foliage and burlap wreaths. They look like they should be hanging on the door of a fairytale cottage in the woods.
