At long last...

Remember all the pretty elements of my new bathroom I shared back in June?

Well, they spent the summer packed away in boxes in my garage.

Our summer remodeling project turned into a fall remodeling project. Yes I know, just like the landscaping project.

But today was the day to finally get this party started! Now before you see the before photos, let me just say that this is a 30 year old bathroom that has never been touched. It's sad, but true. I should probably just apologize to my children now. This was their bathroom. We've pretty much remodeled every square inch of this house, except for this room. Ok, no more stalling, this is what it looked like this morning .....

I can't even begin to explain the thought behind this design. It reminds of a cheap motel bathroom.

This was one very tiny sink folks! The toilet was tiny too, but I spared you a close-up of that!

And one big, plastic shower!

This is were the vacuum cleaner tried to eat the vinyl floor.

Didn't I do a tutorial on framing out bathroom mirrors? It's actually my most popular post ever. How funny is that!

And it just doesn't get any more country than this wallpaper.

Sure, go ahead, take a closer look. Yikes!

And this is what the bathroom looks like tonight.

It looks better already!

Stay tuned, it will be so cute!

And most definitely worth the wait!

Ahh, bathroom remodels, so gratifying, but lots of work! I have one on my 5 year plan.

Can't wait to see the end result. Our bathroom isn't much better, although we don't have any of that fabulous wall paper we do have "fake tile board" 2 layers actually. Our dilemma is we only have ONE bathroom and the remodel will take the planning of, well I'm not sure what...but it will be a lot of planning :)

LOVING the little mosaic tiles you have pictured... it's going to be fabulous!

Hope you have a fabulous week and can come over & say hi sometime.

You're too funny! Our powder room is currently undergoing remodel #2 so I'm right there with you. And don't feel bad, I have wallpaper all over my house that should be stripped! Can't wait to see your finished product, good luck!
