Is it spring yet?

I love winter. Really, I do! I love crisp clean air, icicles and lots of pure white snow. I love the peacefulness that snow brings. It's magical! I love curling up with a good book on a cold winter night. I love sweaters and scarves and Uggs. ... But guess what? I've just had enough!!! And seriously, I need to have a paint brush in my hand! I started a few new pieces last week when the temperatures snuck into the 60's. But of course that was just a tease. In spite of the brilliant sunshine outside, it's still cold out there. If you've been here before, you know I paint outside. But I can't wait another minute for spring. I really had no choice. I brought a few pieces inside today and I'm going to finish them!

Yes, that's a coffee table in my foyer.
It just needs a coat of wax. How messy can that be?
And by the way, I found a new shade of gray that I'm just crazy about!

And a yellow coffee table in my sunroom.

This one's a keeper.

And a fun blue end table.

Ahhh, I'm painting and it's warm and sunny in here!
Shhh, don't tell my husband I'm painting in the house.
Let's just hope I don't spill anything!

I agree, I'm ready for Spring to come for this very reason! I've been painting inside for the last couple of months, and I finally said enough is enough - I moved it all outside last week!

I had to bring things in to paint as well! I can't wait on the weather anymore. Supposed to be high 50's today though...

I am so ready for spring and dry weather! I need to start pulling some of my projects indoors so that I can get going on them!
I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for visiting over the weekend and commenting on my weekend post. It's so nice to meet other people who are feeling the same way!
Have a great week!

that little yellow piece looks so cute! can't wait to see it all done! the one benefit of NOT having a garage is that i already have an area inside to paint. of course a garage would still be pretty nice.

Great idea! I have two dressers that I am dying to paint and it is freezing in my neck of the woods. I am sick of SNOW!

Please tell me you are NOT spray painting. I have been caught red-handed (well, white handed overspray) doing that in the basement. Who knew what a mess that would be to try and hide? I am anxious too...Spring cannot come fast enough to the Midwest for me! Hugs-Diana

Oh that's too funny! I was showing this to my husband and he was like, "if you painted in the house we would have kitty prints on every piece of furniture!" At least you can paint in your house. I'm still waiting for temps to get a wee bit warmer, it's about 40 here in WA, then I'll be out in the garage working on my projects. Thanks for the motivation to get it all ready cause after seeing you go full throttle I know that I've gotta be prepared. Once that weather changes to Spring, I'm outta here!! (and into the garage)

I can't wait either! Great springy colors you're using! We paint in the house ALL the time in the winter. So far, we've been lucky that we haven't had any mishaps, but I was very scared using jet black on our cream carpet with just drop clothes to cover the floor. Our cat stepped in black paint, but we caught him before he made it to the carpet!
