It all started when my neighbor Cindy spotted this handsome chest of drawers in my garage. She asked what I was going to do with it. Of course my response was, "What would you like me to do with it?" Cindy is expecting company in a few weeks and she needed to a piece to complete her guest room. So she used her bedding as the inspiration and chose the color Sanctuary. Sounds perfect for a guest room, don't you think?
And I snapped a few quick pictures before this piece headed off across the lawn. It was getting dark, so the color doesn't show up quite as pretty as it looks in person.
Now I'm finally out of these knobs that were such a great find at Marshall's a few months ago. I've used them on a bunch of projects and they went with everything.
Cindy asked for a light distressing.
And after three coats of paint and a coat of clear wax, this handsome guy was ready for a new home! And with all that storage, Cindy's guests just might stay longer than expected!
This little piece was really in perfect condition and was already green. But it was a dreary green laminate and that's just not pretty.
I think it looks more fresh and modern after a few coats of Sanctuary and some wipe on poly.
And this little table was a great find. She is rock solid and has nice curvy details. And she was a steal at only $5.00!
I gave the entire piece two coats of Sanctuary.
I love the two colors together!
And the chalk paint was perfect here. It went right over the latex paint and distressed beautifully.
Love all those curves and cut-outs!
I finished up with a coat of wax. I still find the Annie Sloan wax takes longer to dry, but the ultimate finish is nice and the soft wax is so easy to apply.

So there you have it, three more projects in another shade of green!

Lovely. I wonder if you have heard of another paint, similar to Chalk Paint less expensive, please visit lucysbaby.blogspot and see the tables I just finished.
I also have a web site BushWoodArt.com for more info on the paint.
