Today I get to introduce you to an old friend. Roxane and I have known each other for awhile now. When our children were in elementary school (long, long ago!), we co-chaired the school carnival together for six years. It was a blast and we learned that we worked really well together. Now we have the pleasure of working together again. Roxane is joining our team here at Elizabeth & Co. She's a vintage loving girl too. Welcome Roxane!
And she just delivered her first two projects for our upcoming tag sale.
Roxane came across this little end table at our local Goodwill.
In a soft cottage green paint from Behr called Shortgrass, it takes on
a whole new look.
It reminds her of a piece that would look right at home in a lakeside cabin.
Love the curves.
Super cute, don't you think?
Next up, a sweet little chair that looked a little sad in all brown.
Roxane started this transformation with a fresh coat of soft black.
Then she added one of her favorite Waverly fabrics to the seat.
She's used this fabric for curtains and cushions in her family room.
She's a big fan of dark red, especially when paired with black.
Definitely a winning combination!
Just the right amount of distressing here.
Nicely done Roxane!
I am so looking forward to our working together again!

These look great!!
Love the color of the little table, and the chair is just perfect!
Both pieces turned out beautifully! I love the colors of both.
Wonderful makeovers! So nice to have a new member to your team.
And a little late but definitely sincere: congratulations on your win of the Copy me challenge. It was definitely deserved, you did an amazing job!
Really cute. I think I have that table in my basement. I am going to go dig it out and paint her up.
I am about to redo a chair and love the one you did! good job!
these are both very nice redo examples! I truly love that soft green color on the little table and a big YES vote for the waverly fabric. I read on another blog recently that the individual painted her furniture black, lightly sanded the corners, then applied a mahogany stain. That finish looked very nice too. I'd never heard of that technique, but it makes sense, just wanted to pass it along in case either of y'all were interested. Thanks so much for sharing :)
Very nice indeed!
Roxanne did a great job. I love taking not so interesting items and remaking them into new again. It's inspiring!
Roxanne did a wonderful job. I love that soft green color on the table. I think every family had one of those end tables at some time in their life...looks SOO much better painted! And the cahir is darling! Hugs-Diana
I have that CHAIR, and did a make over too... I did notice thought the legs are different... But the back is the same... hahaha

First time on your blog and I love the chair and the table. Love!
We saw a chair exactly like that at Goodwill the other day! It was only $6 and Sexy Nerd refused to get it, insisting that it had ZERO potential. Ooh, he'll be sorry when he sees this! ;)
Love them both! Great job and am looking forward to more wonderful transformations!!
Love,

That doesn't even look like the same end table! It's fantastic, and I think that soft green color really shows those curves to their best advantage. And who wouldn't want that chair somewhere in their home? Looks like your friend is a great addition to your team!
Happy REDnesday,
Carol
