Look what I found at Elizabeth & Co.!

I've said it before, the very best part of what we do is the connections we make with the most wonderful people! At the beginning of each tag sale, we so look forward to saying hello to our regular customers. And it's an extra special treat when those people also happen to be a blogging friend. Megan from My Pinteresting Family is one of those special people.

Megan and I connected in the blog world before we even realized that we live in the same town. I love that the projects Megan shares are creative, totally do-able and budget friendly! So when Megan went home from our sale last weekend with a few goodies, I knew she's quickly put her own spin on them. And sure enough, a few days later Megan had already posted this sweet holiday hostess gift she created from a simple wooden pedestal bowl she picked up at our sale.

Really pretty, right?

You can check out all the details at My Pinteresting Family. And be sure to follow along with Megan and her family. I promise that you will be inspired!

*If you have something from Elizabeth & Co. that you'd like to share, just email me a photo. We'd love to see our our things in their happy new home!

Classic Curvy French End Table

This curvy French end table in classic white came from a sweet customer.

Back in the spring, Mary went home with this cabinet cabinet. She was enjoying it so much, she just wanted to say thank you. See, I told you she was sweet!

The end table arrived in the back of a van (along with some other goodies) just moments before our fall sale. But sadly, as she was being loaded into the van, the marble top had fallen out. Mary was so disappointed as the table had once belonged to her grandmother.

Another issue was that the drawer bottom was all duct taped together, so that had to be replaced as well.

So here was our starting point - good bones, just in need of a little cosmetic work!

Now you know that I'm a little intimidated by the power saw (even the sound scares me), so I had a little help with this one. My husband cut a piece of MDF for the inset top and a thin piece of plywood repaced the bottom of the drawer.

I decided to keep it simple with a classic white paint - Behr's paint and primer in one in silky white mixed with the chalk paint recipe.

The hardware was already perfect, it just needed a good scrubbing.

The whole piece got a light distressing and a coat of wipe on poly.

Mary missed our Holiday Open House. I was curious to see if she'd recognize her grandmother's end table.

She looked pretty cute all decked out for the holidays!

Mary, I hope you are reading this. Thanks so much for your generosity. And just so you know, this sweet table found it's way to a happy new home!

Be Inspired Features and Link Party #45

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for features and party day!

I'd like to tell you that I rested up yesterday after our busy open house weekend, but I was back out in the driveway painting. The weather was just perfect and there won't be many more opportunities to paint outside. A girl's got to take advantage of a nice day whenever possible! ... I really enjoyed all the fabulous links this past week. Here are just a few that caught my eye...

Danielle from Silver Pennies may be the mother of two little boys, she she sure knows how to create a beautiful girly dresser!

This dresser transformation from Connie at Sensible Redesign combines three of my favorite things - painted furniture, chalkboard paint and drawing on chalkboards - really cute!

Judy from DIY by Design came up with a great way to repurpose a kids play table!

How much fun is this retro red clock from Tuula at The Thrifty Rebel! Gotta love paint!

And I love this beautiful wreath made from hickory nuts from Deb at Lake Girl Paints. Now I just need to find a hickory tree!

Thanks so much to everyone who linked up and linked back! Feel free to grab a cute little button from the sidebar if you've been featured!
