Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for features and party day!
 

It's going to be a crazy hot week and we're having a tag sale! I guess that's to be expected in July. Let's just hope we don't all melt! ... I've been away for most of the last two weeks so I didn't get to leave comments everywhere, but I did check out each and every post. You all are surely not letting the heat slow you down one little bit! Here are just a few of the projects that caught my eye ...

Susan from Sunflower Hugs shared this pair of gorgeous French Country Night Tables!

Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof gave this pair of industrial stools a super cute, Ralph Lauren inspired makeover. What a great color combination!

Cassie from Primitive & Proper took one really beat-up dresser and made it totally adorable in clover green with sparkly turquoise knobs! She's braving the heat this weekend too with a barn sale at Sweet Clover!

This coffee table had really seen better days until Karen from Restyled Vintage gave it a fresh coastal vibe!

How totally cool is this red and white striped water ski with a mason jar lantern from Lake Girl Paints!

Deb also used a water ski to showcase family photos!
 

  

I am a huge fan of all kinds of salsa and yes I love cilantro! Did you know that some people have a genetic predisposition to dislike cilantro? They think it smells and tastes "soapy". I think it smells and tastes delicious, so it's a welcome addition to my salsa. This watermelon salsa recipe from Diane at An Extraordinary Day looks so cool and refreshing. It calls for both cilantro and mint! Yum!!!

Summer 2013 Tag Sale Preview

When the temperatures reach the 90's and the heat index is over 100 degrees, it can only mean one thing ... it's time for our summer tag sale! And here is just a little preview of what we have in store for you this time around!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 I actually took these photos a few weeks ago. We got a jump start on staging this year due to our different vacation schedules. There's been a whole lot of primping and fluffing since then. And not only will the entire house, the porches and the front yard be filled to capacity, but on Friday and Saturday the back yard will be overflowing with vintage goodness too. This sale promises to be our biggest and best yet!

July Garden Party

Welcome back for our July Garden Party!
 

 

To celebrate summer, we're hosting a monthly garden party. I was anxious to share my passion for gardening and clearly your gardens bring you a bounty of pleasure too. Here are just a few beautiful features from our June Garden Party .....

Leslie from the lovely blog Gwen Moss took advantage of the golden hour of photography (the first and last hour of sunlight) and shared a magical tour of her garden.

 

The sunlight is just beginning to stream through the tress. Can't you just feel the warmth and the quiet calmness of morning!

 

 

Leslie has an incredibly lush green garden highlighted with mostly cool shades of blue.

The water feature is charming and the sound of water creates a comforting sound for Leslie and her family!

And this wall mural serves as a gentle reminder to take time and smell the flowers - simply charming!
 

 

Laurie from Heaven's Walk has the most beautifully layered garden!

 

 These peonies must be gorgeous in full bloom!

The curves make you want to keep exploring. And do you see the red barn in the background?

 

This is a gorgeous variety of clematis!

And just imagine being serenaded by this little guy and twenty of his buddies every evening!

Jen from Don't Mess with My Tutus created a wonderful rustic buffet for her back porch. I love the shuttered doors and the beautiful aged finish Jen achieved. How perfect for entertaining!
