Paper Mache Easter Eggs

Remember this pretty Easter vignette from Pottery Barn a few years back? It's still making the rounds on Pinterest.

I love the freshness of all the white with the pink blossoms. But it was the the Easter Eggs that caught Susan's eye here at Elizabeth & Co. Our long time friends might remember this project from our very first spring tag sale!

Susan picked up some paper mache eggs at Michaels.

She gave them a quick coat of creamy white craft paint.

Transfer letters were used to spell out Happy Easter.

After a spray of black metal paint, screw eyes were attached to the top of the eggs.

A little glaze gave them a nice aged look.

And a piece of jute string made them ready for hanging.

This project was super easy, quick and thrifty!
And of course totally adorable!

You still have a week before Easter, plenty of time to whip up a batch of your own!
They would look really cute spelling out Spring too!
