Be Inspired Features and Link Party #80

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for features and party day!

Elizabeth and Co.

I had the hardest time choosing features this week. There were just so many wonderful links. Thank you so much for taking the time to share at our little party! Here are just a few of the amazing projects that caught my eye ...

If this beautiful and serene garden from my friend Leslie at Gwen Moss looks a bit familiar, it was featured at our July Garden Party. Now check out the awesome rustic plank table that Leslie made with her Dad! I love every little detail, right down to the lovely gratitude place setting! And if you haven't already met Leslie, she writes the most thoughtful posts filled with wise words and beautiful inspiration!

This pretty pink striped antique dresser from Restoration Redoux is headed straight for a baby girl's  room - very sweet!

And Elizabeth from Lizzi's Creations was thinking stripes this week too!

How sweet is this chippy birdie dresser from Stacey from Embracing Change!

This is one very sophisticated file cabinet makeover from Katie at My DIY Habits!

Danielle from Silver Pennies wasn't quite happy the first time she painted this little  table, so she made a change and went with a seaside feel - soft and pretty. And she has a great tip for creating your own custom tinted wax!

This black and white kitchen remodel from Karen at Redoux is just gorgeous!

Denise from On A Whim took some yard sale junk and created this sweet little pie safe!

Julie from Love My Simple Home shared all the details on these really cute layered summer frames!

Tuula from The Thrifty Rebel dressed up her trellis with pretty framed flowers!

And if the summer heat is getting to you, maybe this little orange accent table from Kim at Reposhture Studio will remind you that fall is right around the corner!

Thanks so much to everyone who linked up and linked back!

HomeRight Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer Review

Today I'm excited to share my first experience with the HomeRight Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer! One of the fun perks of writing a blog is that I sometimes get asked to review products. I've wanted to try a paint sprayer for some time now, so I was thrilled to have the opportunity. And my friend Gail over at My Repurposed Life has been singing the praises of this particular sprayer for quite some time now. I couldn't wait to get started!

You probably know that a whole lot of furniture painting happens around here. And I generally find painting to be a very relaxing. But when spindles are involved, the process becomes a bit tedious. So I thought this bench would be the perfect candidate to try out my new sprayer!

This one came complete with a peeling floral decal ...

and a really deep red stain.

I waited for a nice calm morning with no rain in the forecast and set up shop in the shade of my side yard. And as long as I was painting one piece, why not just paint a few more at the same time!

My prep included the usual light sanding and thorough cleaning of all the pieces. I also read through my sprayer directions and watched the video on the HomeRight website. And Gail has a wonderful series of videos on how to use this sprayer too. She takes you step-by-step through the entire process. Thanks Gail! ... I did try out the sprayer on a piece of scrap wood first, just to get the feel of it. But after that, I was confident and ready to go! ... And here are my pieces all primed. The hardest part was keeping the cord from getting wrapped around the furniture as I was moving around each piece. But since I tried this out on a Saturday morning, my husband became my right-hand-man for this project!

The primer went on beautifully and dried quickly. Before I knew it, we were ready to repeat the process with paint!

And here is my finished bench in a pretty shade of blue!

I gave her a light distressing ...

and finished up with a coat of poly for durability.

And I'm happy to report that this pretty bench found happy new owners at our tag sale last weekend!

I was really impressed with the smooth finish I achieved with my new sprayer and it sure made painting all those spindles a whole lot easier. Plus it was super easy to clean too. You can use it for paint, primer, poly, stain and varnish. And it has a precision volume control and an adjustable spray pattern. I definitely have some experimenting to do. I love having options and I'm excited to add the Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer to my painting arsenal!

Thanks so much to my friends at HomeRight for the opportunity to give this sprayer a try! And be sure to check out their website for all kinds of products to make life easier for all the DIY projects in your life!

And if you hop on over to My Repurposed Life, Gail is celebrating her 4-year blog anniversary with one amazing giveaway after another, including several Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayers! It's a Blogapalooza like you've never seen before!

Be inspired Features and Link Party # 79

Happy Tuesday! Welcome back for features and party day!

Elizabeth and Co.

I'm looking forward to a quiet week catching up with the blog world and putting my house back in order after a crazy tag sale weekend! Thanks to all of our wonderful customers and yes, I'm still smiling over Megan's sweet surprise! ... Now let's check out some of the awesome links from last week's party ...

This big, beautiful buffet is from Reeves at The Weathered Door!

Lauren from West Furniture Revival found a way to give this classic table a fresh new look, while retaining it's natural beauty!

I love this perfect boy bedroom from Freckle Face Girl! And Chris found her own way to get the famous black Pottery Barn finish on the beds!

I also think this fun dresser from Cassie at Primitive & Proper looks like it stepped right out of a Pottery Barn catalog!

Lynn from Fern Avenue turned a thrift store dresser into a beautiful vanity!

And I must not be the only one with babies on the brain at the moment as we had more nursery links at the party last week than ever before. I love that nurseries today are so stylish and sophisticated. This bright and happy nursery reveal is from Helen at Picked  & Painted!

Laura from The Turquoise Room shared her pink and turquoise inspiration board, along with the big reveal!

And Carissa from Carissa Miss shares Megan's due date and has a mood board ready for a baby boy ...

and another ready for a baby girl!

Carissa also shared this Blueberry Lemon Cream Cheese Cake that looks so moist and delicious! Lemon and cream cheese - yum!

And how beautiful is this Kate Spade inspired Lemon Layer Cake from Sharon at Lilikoi Joy! It has luscious layers of lemon curd and she even decorated the cake box to match! Have I mentioned that I love all things lemon!
