Today, I'm glancing through the Pottery Barn catalog and saw these - Found Oversized Wine Bottles, 10" to 24" tall and ranging in price from $99 to $279. Yes, you read that right, $99 to $279.

Now, these bottles are really cool. And I love Pottery Barn. But seriously, would anyone really spend that much for a big green bottle? I don't know. But now I'm really excited about my 25 cent find! And because Pottery Barn is filled with great ideas, I went outside for a branch from my Japanese maple tree to give my bottle the attention it deserved.
Still not worth $99, but I think it looks pretty good. You just never know what you'll find out there or where your next inspiration will come from!

What a great find! The color of the bottle and the leaves are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe that someone would actually pay that much! I have gotten most of mine from Scott's Antique Market for about $18-$30 depending on the size and shape. BUT...14 cents is the best deal ever!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! I saw one at our church holiday shop yesterday that was just like it... but it was $48!! I like yours *much* better!
ReplyDeletegreat find! i also got one at our church yard sale and i think mine was 50 cents- it is smaller, but it was so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is a GREAT find!! I love those green bottles, but would never spend the PB price. You can't beat 25 cents that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, PB has some great ideas, but that is so overpriced. Yeah for you for such a good find and a keen eye.
ReplyDeleteCan you believed you saved hundreds of dollars buying that bottle? LOL- I am always telling MyHero how much I have saved when I spy something like this. I LOVE that bottle. Hugs- Diana
ReplyDeleteOkay, that was a major steal! Love the shape and the color. Looks so pretty with the leaves in it.
ReplyDeleteYour bottle looks great, but $99... even as a fan of Pottery Barn, I couldn't spend that!

What a pretty bottle! But $99? That's just insane. You got yours for 25 cents and it's just as pretty as theirs. Take that, Pottery Barn!
ReplyDeleteI like your bottle a whole lot better, and I really like the 25 cent price tag! Great find!

ReplyDeleteYou have GOT to be $$$$$ kidding me! I have some green bottles I didn't know what to do with. Nearly dead ringers for some of those. Gaaah!!! Off to stick twigs and water in them! :)
ReplyDeleteYours is wonderful!
Donna
Awesome! I love the beautiful golden Maples leaves in the bottle! Don't you just love for Pottery Barn to come along and affirm that something is awesome, even though you knew it all along!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Here from Lamb Around!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! I wonder what the markup is on those PB bottles! I think it looks great and just exactly like the catalog.
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the sharp deal sleuth! Looks beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI just did a post a few days back about my Pottery Barn knockoffs...the wicker woven wine bottle covers..aka demijohns. My 2 came from Goodwill for mere dollars..PB...mega bucks.
ReplyDeleteI love your green bottle. :)
I just became your newest follower...:))
ReplyDeleteGreat buy and you saved yourself a bunch of money! lol...NO, I would not be spending that kind of money on a green wine bottle but 25 cents is more my style.
