Yellow Bookcase

Ok, I'm not alone in my passion for yellow. It's my daughter Megan's favorite color. She decorates with yellow, drives a yellow car (very easy to find in a crowded parking lot) and used yellow touches throughout her wedding (it was lovely). So, it came as no surprise when she came home recently for a painting weekend and decided to use a little yellow!

This sturdy little bookcase just needed a back and a fresh coat of paint to bring it back to life. I love any chance I can get to use beadboard. ... Hmmm, good thing we had some rope in the car!

Megan picked a color combination of Custard and Bedford Gray from the Martha Stewart line of paint at Home Depot.

Pretty combination, don't you think? I already have the perfect spot for it. And we love to read, so we'll have no trouble filling the shelves!
